Film Career
When she was 19, She got a recommendation from a photographer for acting and modeling in her final year of college, so she auditioned and got a small role in the 2004 film "Kyun! Ho Gaya Na", which was her Bollywood debut. She decided to enter the South film industry after her Bollywood debut because she didn't get any films or projects for the next two years. Later, she auditioned in the south film industry and was cast as the lead in Bharathiraja's upcoming film, Bommalattam.
Many problems happened during the filmmaking of Bommalattam, causing its release to be delayed; if it had been released on time, it would have been Kajal's South debut film, and most importantly, Nana Patekar appeared in it. With this film, she also received other films called Lakshmi Kalyanam, and Chandamama which were released in 2007, and after that, Pourudu Aatadista, Saroja, Pazhani, and Bommalattam which were released in 2008, but these films performed average. However, Chandamama was her first hit film.
Her major turning point came in 2009 with the release of her two most successful films, Arya 2 and Magadheera, both blockbusters and among the most successful in the history of the South Indian cinema industry. She got a lead role in the biggest and most successful Bollywood film, Singham, after the success of these films.
Achievements
The first five years have been quite difficult, but after that, films like Magadheera and Arya 2 in 2009 have helped her gain popularity.
